Need help removing a label from a bottle

I want to be able to "remove" the clear plastic label from the bottle but keep the lettering and the texture. I've been able to remove the edge using the heal brush but there is a noticeable difference in color/density. I've tried healing, cloning, patch tool, curves in luminosity, curves in color but nothing looks convincing. I know there must be a simple answer, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wolf

Tgrain, Welcome to RetouchPRO Hope you enjoy your stay here and make lots of friends.

copy the letters and whatever else you want to use.... clone and heal the entire label so it looks like a blank bottle.... paste the letters back in

Mask The Type, Brush Blue, Add Texture, Burn shadows. Forget the heal brush.

Re: Need help removing a label from bottle

The patch tool should work perfectly. Work it a little at a time. This took less than a minute.

Re: Need help removing a label from bottle

Thank you everybody for your help and suggestions. I actually tried every one and a combination of patch tool and healing brush did the trick for me! Even tough the brush and texture technique didn't work for me, it was the first time playing with textures and I learned a lot, so thank you again.

All the best,

Wolf
