help with right side of cheek

Anyone have a suggestion on how the get rid of the -for lack of better term' reverse dimple on the right side of face? I have tried healing, and cloning, but nothing looks natural.

Thanks
Patrick

Re: help with right side of cheek

Not really sure how to do it but I think you want a result that will leave the shadowing in tact like in this example. But then again, maybe not, because the shadowing would change without that nice dimple. Most times everyone wants dimple attraction. I know its the first thing I look for in a girl.

Re: help with right side of cheek

Yeah, I when I see my GF tomorrow I am going to have to see if this is something her cheek did, or if this is a function of light and shadow. It almost looks like some sunlight came through on the shadow side of her face and made a bright spot. I was not there for her photograpy session so I am not sure as to the set up. She likes the picture with the exception of the cheek thing, so I am trying to see I can't fix it up for her.

This is a quick hit of the Liquify filter to pull the cheek out,
then clone out the extra highlight area.

Re: help with right side of cheek

Hi there

I made a pen line where I thought the cheek line should follow.

Then I used a few curves adjustment layers set to lighten or darken and changed the luminance of the cheek as needed brushing on the mask with low flow and opacity brushes. I also changed the depth of the shadow on the neck to make it sharper then softened the shadows on the nose and eye.
