Re: A Welcome Note To New Members (and anyone else

hello,
I found your group while searching for ways to improve a shot taken of me and my double chin.Of course I want to get rid of the thing, and I found this group.I myself, have been heavily involved in photo for the last 6 years. I am always wanting the magic which comes with shooting. I live in California, and waiting for retirement. then I can go onto my true love, expressing myself through my art. I have so much to learn. thanks in advance for the info given here.

I am a newby and was referred by a photographer from Spain. He liked the site because it still had the old world Spanish influence. I am kidding. He thought it might help me with photoshop. Thanks for the acceptance.

I'm a newbie so am most probably posting this in the wrong place. I found you quite by accident after following a tutorial on how to make an under water scene ( can't remember the lady's name) It so really good and I am always wanting to learn new things. Sadly my old and addled brain doesn't always want to remember them. At least it always like rediscovering something new :-) Look forward to all there is to learn here.
Kind Regards
Lynda

Re: A Welcome Note To New Members (and anyone else

jaja, Siempre al principio uno se pierde... Igual me pasó.

Saludos...

Re: A Welcome Note To New Members (and anyone else

Hello to all, I am new here, and just wanted to say Hi. I am in the process of learning to retouch photos. I have a bunch of old photos to work with, some are pretty damaged, but are some of the only pictures I have so will do what I can. I am looking forward to reading the many posts on this site. And besides a warm welcome is always nice.

Re: A Welcome Note To New Members (and anyone else

Thank you for the warm welcome. I found this forum after searching for an "easy" way to remove lots of cracks on an old photo. Needless to say, the cracks are still on the photo and I am still going through the posts finding lots of good advice.

I'm from South Africa and although I like to work with old photos, I am in no way a professional and always feel that my photos lack that certain something to make them look really good.

I am going to enjoy spending time here and learn as much as I can. Thank you to all who so willingly share their experiences and skills with others.

Good evening. I am a new member. A senior citizen with great granchildren. I have been married for 52 yrs. I have been a hobbyist photographer for about 9 yrs....a late start, but I love it! I shoot landscapes, flowers, pets and wild animals and a few children shots. I use a Canon 30D with various lenses.

Re: A Welcome Note To New Members (and anyone else

Hey, Starcountry:

Welcome to RP. Everyone who has ever used Photoshop can relate to where you are. All of us were "very very early beginners with Photoshop" at one point in time. Lots to learn; lots of fun and probably some frustration while doing it. PS can be challenging sometimes.

Hang in there, ask questions (better yet, do forum and Google searches, then ask questions) and continue to grow.

Thanks for the welcome! I am a Google fanatic so no worries there I've worked with PS off and on for the last several years but never on a regular basis to keep up with it. I'm self taught in what I do know with PS and photography.

Re: A Welcome Note To New Members (and anyone else

Hi to all!
I was recommended by site that I purchase software from. From all the post's I've read so far... I think I've found my second home I know I will be spending hours here learning all that I can. I use PS CS2 (mac user)... but have a lot to learn. I'd like to thank everyone in advance for helping me in reaching my goals and having fun and sharing in what I love to do most...creativity! Can someone guide me to where I may find some action sets?
Thanks to all... it's great to be part of this community/forum!

Hello RP. I just wanted to say that this is a very pleasant place to find. Im very new to Photoshop and photography in general so being a member here is going to provide a great start. I had my first kid about a year ago already(seems like yesterday) and have been taking pictures and videos ever since. Now I have loads of stuff that need editing. So thanks for providing a great site to use as a mentor. I look forward to hanging out and meeting some new friends.
