Pattern on 3D model

Hi,

I'm very inexperienced with 3D modelling, but I need to wrap a pattern on the brim of a real cowboy hat. I made my model in Sketchup (I'm just learning it) and put the pattern on in PS CS5 extended. You can see in the attached that there is an area that's not wrapping correctly. Can anyone offer insight? Do you think there is a problem with the model? Or PS?
How can I fix it (in a hurry too)

Hi Shift, I can't help you with Sketchup or Extended but if you end up having to improvise, a combination of Displacement Maps and Vanishing Point might allow you to accomplish the task.

Yes - thanks! I was thinking VP, but never thought of displacement mapping first. that could solve the problem. In a time crunch....

Got it fixed! Gave the photographer the pattern, he printed it and curved it just right and there you go. done! I'd still like to know how to fix the problem.
I'm going to watch the RetouchPRO Live with Scott Valentine, and I'm hoping to learn some stuff!
