Can anyone please help me remove my double chin and fix my crooked smile! I always take such awful photos and I really would love to share this photo with family and friends...it is a picture of Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas with me and family...thanks so much to anyone who can help!

This is a teaching Forum where, whenever possible, we help by showing even step-by-step how we fixed or minimized problems in pictures... meaning ... you try and if you get stuck we help.

If you are not into image retouching/restoring yourself but you'd like to have a picture fixed you can post it in our Classifieds Forum. Depending on the job, you might get it for free anyway.

That said, I had a go at your picture ... I'm more a restorer than a retoucher so, trying to keep it as natural as possible and you looking like yourself, here is what I came up with ..

Hi Flora! Thanks so much for the info and taking a stab at the photo! I use to have a workshop for photoshopping on my computer but deleted everything because the moment I opened it and tried using it I got lost and had no idea! Anyways, I am in the process of getting the program again and once I have it up and running I will most definitely be trying to learn how to do it...so any tips on A-How-To Do-It basis would be lovely! Thanks so much again for trying to help!

Okay so I finally got it running! Yay me...lol Anyways here is a picture of what I did! I only used the liquify feature as I have no clue what else I can do? I would like to learn how to add make-up or color to my face if anyone can assist me, that would be wonderful. Also if anyone can give me any pointers on what else I may be able to do to maybe make it a little better! Here is the pic, please, tell me what you think!

sorry for my delay in reacting...

First of all ... Very well done!!!! The Liquify filter isn't the easiest to use and you mastered it really well!!!

The one thing you should be careful is your chin .... which has become shorter and square ...

I would like to learn how to add make-up or color to my face if anyone can assist me, that would be wonderful

...well, not really my cup of tea ... but I had a go at it ...

Thank-you so much Flora! And yes, I agree with you about the chin becoming shorter and more square...I would love to fix it up but I have no idea what else I can do?! I keep playing with the workshop but it is quite hard! BTW, make-up might not be your cup of tea but you did a wonderful job! So I'm wondering if you can give me any pointers with which tools I should be playing around with to learn? Please and thank-you! Oh and I would also like to apologize for not responding until now...I reformatted my whole computer, wiped it clean and started fresh so I think my mail from retouch was being read as Spam...I had to physically go through all my spam mail to find what was and wasn't!!

I used several blank layers as described in this Tutorial ( just scroll down the page to the BLANK/EMPTY LAYERS SET TO.... part.)

As I already said, I have no real experience in 'beauty retouch' but, as I usually do for restorations, I prefer adding several layers with subtle changes (playing with the Layer's Opacity) rather than 'splashing' everything on one single layer.

Okay here's my go at it. Lots of liquify and cloning, and spot sharpening to get rid of the liquify blur.

I also got rid of the guys over wil.'s shoulder and blacked out the windows in the background just for fun.

I'm on my laptop so the color is always bad on this screen, may need some tweaking on a normal monitor to look good but it's a nice start. I also thinned out your buddy with the neck beard in case you tag him.

Oh yeah I also tried to photoshop the stoned look off of wil.'s face and gave him the makings of a smirk..

Here it is off a normal monitor, the other one looks way too dark to me on this monitor.
