Hello all. I've been seeing this effect around here and there but not sure how to go about attaining it. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Since I don't see anything appealing to me in this image, I'll have to ask you what you are trying to copy - the "El Vaquero Muerto" leather mask, the nude tattooed body, the lighting, the background, the pose, ...,what? There isn't enough untatted skin to see any lighting effect, is there?

Try merging all of your layers to a new layer and apply the High Pass filter at a setting of 50 - 100px depending on your image size, then set this layer blending mode to 'overlay' and play with the layer opacity percntage... usually 50% should do it... This will give you the high contrast 'crunchy' feel to a image...
