Photo stuck to glass

I'm working on a photo that is stuck to the glass. I don't want to remove the glass because the photo may become damaged, but I was able to scan it and it came out without any glare. The problem is the areas that are stuck to the glass have scanned a bit discoloured, the photo is black and white, so it looks like there's a film covering those areas. I work in both Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro and would appreciate any suggestions on how to get rid of these.

QuietJan, first sugestion would be to post a sample of the image (or the image) so people could see what it looks like

It's a little difficult to tell from the image you uploaded. Are you refering to the areas I have marked off in blue or others?

Yes the area you marked off is part of it, it actually extends up into the windows of the plane and into the wings and background area.

Jan, OK, I see it now. The image is B&W and there is no fine detailing in those areas. You should try sampling adjacent good "color" and paint on a duplicated layer. You could also do some Dodge & Burn to get those areas to match but painting would be faster.
