Remove another person's hair from portait-HELP!

Hi Everyone,

I am not familiar with the photo editing software and could really use some help. I have a photo of my father and I can't seem to get my mother's hair out of the picture properly. I have cropped her out as much as I can (as we need this photo to be of JUST him). He was killed in a car accident a year ago and my wedding is this weekend, so I would really like to have a photo of him in a memorial frame to have at my wedding. I know he would have loved to be there. If anyone can fix this, I would be so grateful as I do not have the software or know-how to do it and don't know where else to go.

photo was very low res not much can be done.

Thanks! That looks better than when I had a friend of mine try, the blurring was too obvious. The file was scanned in, thus low resolution .

Lots of small pieces of the shirt cut and paste; db; tone, contrast, color and more curves to finalize.

"gimp" will do most of what can be done in Photoshop but is free... it also has the same steep learning curve as Photoshop.... but with practice almost anything is possible with it!
