| urgent fix for mirror shadow in CS4 background is white, person is close cut on it from another file. I would like to add a mirror shadow - which is simple enough - but when I do it looks like this person is standing on their toes which is not the intended effect. Seems to be because there is no shadow under the rest of the foot to anchor the foot down and the position of the feet. This person is supposed to be standing normally for the shot with both heel and toe on the ground I would know how to do this with a regular black fill shadow layer with the opacity adjusted to taste. Not sure how to overcome this optical illusion easily. Need help. Please see attached low res file. This is for a print job and it will be done high res. I have 7 people to do in total. | Re: urgent fix for mirror shadow in CS4 It didn't load the 2nd time either. Click the Manage Attachments button, then the Browse button to navigate to your file, then click the Upload button and wait till you see confirmation - file name and size (or error message). Regards, Murray |

| Re: urgent fix for mirror shadow in CS4 i've been trying to see what i can do, but the perspective of the shoes throws me off where the heel and toe are not level. I'm using Photoshop elements and the perspective tool isn't helping. Its only making it distorted. |

| Re: urgent fix for mirror shadow in CS4 thanks for responding guys, I found it tricky myself. For this job I had the designer do it. Speed was the issue and he had done it before. He did tell me that it involved a lot of masking and working with each foot/leg on its own layer. With a bit of thinking I came up with a plan as to how I might teach myself. First I need to see in real life so I had a girl stand backlit on a shiny floor and took pictures with the feet in various positions, wearing pants, skirt, heels and flats. Upon seeing the photos I'm beginning to get the idea. I haven't figured out a workflow yet, that's coming. I'm pretty busy with other work right now but I promise to post it as soon as I've done it. I can tell you that it really helps seeing it in real life and having a shot as a reference. thanks again. |
