How to create 3d photo frame w/ shadow

I would appreciate help in learning how to create a border with a shadow as the image below shows.

Sorry, first post the image did not load.

Copy image to new layer
Expand canvas 10% in all directions
Fill background with white
Add new blank layer between the two layers
Ctrl click on image layer to load selection
Switch to blank layer and fill selection with black
Use transform, blur, opacity, and blend mode to get the shadow effect you want

(if you image didn't already have the white border, add it and flatten before starting steps above)

make a duplicate layer and select the area outside the image area you want the shadow under and delete the area you selected and go to the bottom left of your layers window and hold your mouse on the fx and there will be a list ... click on drop shadow and use the tools to make your shadow.
