Remove color cast from clothing Hello, I am attempting to remove the blue/grey cast from the tshirt on this client (under his right side of chin). I have tried a few options in CS5 and Lightroom but nothing seems to really look natural. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ceesa

Re: Remove color cast from clothing The shadow there from the folds in the fabric? I just quickly brightened it a little using Curves. The mask was painted using a soft brush. -- EDIT: Nevermind, I'm stupid and misread :P You mean on his chin, not shirt -.-

Re: Remove color cast from clothing Here I've quickly fixed the gray area under his chin (as well): 1. Optional: First I cloned (on a new layer) from above/below the area to make it a slightly sharper "chin-line". I lowered the opacity to like 40 % after. 2. Then to fix the gray/blue/low-saturation I added another layer set to Color blend mode, and cloned in the color I wanted (could have used a regular brush as well).

Re: Remove color cast from clothing Use the dropper to sample the color you want. Use a new color layer, use the brush set to color to paint the blue away I used a light setting.

Re: Remove color cast from clothing EDIT: Cupcake and Chain provide an equivalent approach in their post. I was submitting at similar time. Hi Cessa Here were my steps - Add empty layer above your original set to Color Blend - Sample skin color desired in area of interest - Brush over Blue cast - Adjust opacity of this layer to fit your desire (example below set to 50%) Jackson5_edit.jpg

So yeah, three people in a row here now all suggesting the same approach. I think we have it settled |

Re: Remove color cast from clothing NO Chain you don't have to, but it blends better if you do.

It will blend differently on the layer itself, but the "color" component will be identical so when you set the entire layer to "Color" the result is identical.
