Low contrast hair removal

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for bit of advice on how to extract this portion of an image from the background, the hair is so close to the background, the rest of the image would probably be okay because the background is much lighter, help appreciated.
Lofty

Re: Low contrast hair removal

You could always use hair brushes either to paint in new hairs or give good extraction outlines.
Plus you don't need every single stray hair in your composite image to make it look believable imho.

Re: Low contrast hair removal

Hi Der,
Many thanks for your help, could you explain a little bit more how I do this as I am reasonably new to Photoshop?
Many thanks
Lofty

Re: Low contrast hair removal

I guess Russell Brown explains it pretty good in his video tutorial: http://av.adobe.com/russellbrown/Com...irMasks_SM.mov
The according hair brushes can be downloaded here: http://www.russellbrown.com/images/t...BS_Series1.zip / http://www.russellbrown.com/images/t...BS_Series1.sit
