Fixing very damaged hair? Can anyone tell me the best way to fix this damaged hair in this photo? I suppose I could select the pixel and turn it into a Define Pattern in Adobe Photoshop CS5. Then I could paste it into an lassoed outline of the head. I did select the pixel and just painted it in with the brush. However, since this is for a client and will be printed I want to make sure I do it correctly. Any suggestions? Would the way I just described be good enough? Please see attached sample. Thank you.

Re: Fixing very damaged hair? From the image you supplied there does not seem to be any hair detail to recover. The image is out of focus and I am guessing that the hair on the right hand person was not well defined similar to that seen in the lady to the left. You may want to just paint it out to match the other hair or you could try and add some hair texture by borrowing from another image and blending in

Re: Fixing very damaged hair? you could try the burn tool to achieve the color your after then the gaussian blur but you would have to be careful not to loose the ear thats showing.
