| channel extraction with detailed backgrounds How do you use channels for extraction on an image with a detailed background? Like say for instance, the model is standing in front of a group of people. I know how to do it on a solid background, but because of the differences in the background whenever I use levels I can't get the background white and the hair black..... Thanks. |

| Re: channel extraction with detailed backgrounds It entirely depends on the image, Psycopath. Different images can require different techniques to extract them. In a complex image I've used different methods for different parts of the pic, saved the resulting selections in an alpha channel, then built the final selection in a separate channel. |
