Create a stage spotlight

I want to create a stage spotlight illuminating my model (Marina Jozic). The idea is to give the impression that the model is on a stage and a single spotlight is illuminating her.

I attach the original photo and two of my attempts (which I am not very happy with). Any pointers are much appreciated.

Re: Create a stage spotlight

I would use something like this. Don't know if it's what u want.

I did that with brush around 600px on Your picture.
Brush set as normal, hardness 0%. Inside brush settings: Shape dynamics -> Size Jitter 0% and Control Set to: Fade out : 18.

On new blank layer, set opacity 60%. Press with brush one time on her face, move out to corner, outside of it and holding shift press again. That will make straight fadeing line.
Gausian blur with number u like ( i used 20), then Add noise of 2 or 3 (control over banding and natural look).
Layer mask and fill it with half transparent gradient.

Sorry, english is not my native.

Thought I'd have a go at this. It's not perfect, but I don't have the time to work on it more. Hopefully the layer stack is self explanatory.

I'd sort out the lighting of the model; the beam shape will then suggest itself. Think like a retoucher instead of a PS operator!
