Baby photo help

I had a photo taken of our baby but when we have it printed you can just see some marks under her nose from a cold she had at the time. How would I go about making under her nose look clean and perfect. I have attempted to fix it myself in Photoshop but when I try you can see the image has been altered, I would like it to look as natural as possible.

Have tried to attach the image but it is not showing.

Already tried to add a link but it didn't show up, and the photo is too large to attach, try again:

Re: Baby photo help

Hi tlg. BEAUTIFUL Baby! I would create a new layer and change the blend mode to darken. Zoom way in and use a tiny spot healing brush. You could also try the other healing tools to see if you like the results but that's where I'd start. You are setting the layer to darken because the area is in shadow and the parts to be fixed are lighter. You can back off the opacity on the layer if you need to to make it appear more natural. Hope that helps. And welcome to Retouchpro!

Re: Baby photo help

Sorry for the delay in replying I have been out at work all day.

denilerium - thank you so much for taking the time and effort to do this for me, the retouched image is absolutely perfect and will look so much better when we get it printed onto a canvas as a gift for my parents. I really appreciate your help.

crazyfly1 - thank you for the comment about Molly, she is our first child and we are so lucky to have such a happy little girl. As you will have seen denilerium has kindly retouched the image for me however your advice is really appreciated. I am the type of person who likes to learn as much as possible and hopefully with the help and advice from Retouchpro I will pick up lots of knowledge and be working with my images in no time to get them just right!

What a great forum, with such a fast response from really helpful members!

Thanks again to you both!
