Clone stamping detail covering the face.

Hello,
I'm having trouble with this photo that I took for a friends family shoot. I really love the picture however there's a lace covering the face of the central figure that I tried to edit out using the clone stamp tool. However because its such fine detail and it's over the mouth i'm struggling to get a clean retouch of the face.

If anyone can give me any tips they would be much appreciated! I'm using photoshop Cs5 and the picture is attached.

Much thanks,
James

I'd use use patches of 'good' skin and apply them through a layer mask that broadly corresponds to the shape of the cord. Feather the mask to avoid a 'stripe'. Why not post a larger file of just the offending area so we can see the detail.

Re: Clone stamping detail covering the face.

Hello Repairman, thanks for your reply i'm about to try what you recommended and hopefully i'll have some success with it.

I was struggling to upload a decent sized image because of the upload restriction of 100k but i've cropped it so you can see the detail... Is this any better?

Thanks.

My goodness that's amazing! Thanks very much I can't believe how well that has turned out. A Tiff would be great if it isn't too much hassle?

I don't really understand Retouch pro, what do you get out of this?
