Smile New Member! Hello!

Hello,

I am relatively new to Photoshop but have been working years taking pictures, editing photos (as best as I can). Until CC, I found $3500.00 was a bit much for buying a suite of products but have become a CC subscriber when I retired and am fascinate by all the good stuff Adobe products will do, esp. PS. I want to learn a lot and hope that I can also provide anyone with tips from my background as a computer and networking specialist and videographer.

I am happy to be here and am posting a picture concerning 'double exposure' and ask if anyone can point me to a tutorial which will help to darken the background and get rid of the 'white out'. Thank you.

I am restoring over 200 pictures and this one has presented a problem with the lightened areas over the first soldier and the head of the second soldier. All I am really concerned with is to get the two soldiers pics darkened equally and have them stand out......

Thank you for any help with this.

John A.

Re: New Member! Hello!

Hi! I think you'll gain a lot of tips and insights from this tutorial:

http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/?m=show&id=304

It will help you with the fundamentals of matching/fixing luminosity issues, which will go a long way to getting what you want out of your pic.

I've posted a quick example of what you can recover from the image.

Cheers,

Kevin
