Wow - not sure what you did differently, but I really like this one!

Thanks for your comments__To answer your aside__I added (subtly I hope) edge enhancement for better separation of foreground from background. I think it adds to the painting effect__MH

AWESOME

Murray - A big welcome to you!

I spotted another one of your contributions last night which was just wonderful. This is awesome work also - I am hugely impressed but what is the recipe?

Here's what Murray replied in a previous post. Apparently Studio Artist is available on the Mac platform -- almost enough reason for me to consider changing to a Mac...

Scott

My setup includes an iMac w/15" flat screen plus:
Wacom Graphire Tablet
Logitech Trackball
Photoshop Elements 2
Corel photo-Paint 10
Studio Artist 2 (Synthetik Software)

Studio Artist is the major contributor to the painting effects that I've been showing in my recent posts and enjoyed by you___MH

I'm 97% Okay with this. The only distraction to me was the greenish color in the cheek area. Those tones are not ones I'd normally associate with that part of the body (well, with any part of the body for that matter!)

The texturing is great; very painterly look.
