| GameBoy June 17, 2003 What can you do with those four square, straight head-on photographs that are the typical drugstore photograph? Here we have a young man with his gameboy in a fairly static pose, which I feel could be called "Classic Americana". Comments Invited _____ MH |

| That's a neat, simple picture that shows a happy kid. The only thing I would do is to lessen the texture. I think the texture overwhelms the boy. E.B. |

| I agree with E.B. about the texture. In addition, I think the lighting is pretty flat. I would try creating a layer in overlay mode, then painting with black/white at low opacity to burn/dodge the left/right sides respectively - adding more shadow on the left and more highlights on the right. This gives the feeling of light coming from the right and gives more depth to the image. Jeanie |
