scanned sketch image restore

Suddenly I found my very old works, and want to preserve them.
I scan the pictures and want them in the same condition when I draw them. In a perfect white paper with pencil. without convert then in grayscale how can i restore them ... I try curve correction and verious plugins but could not reach the result, pls show me how can I restore them as a new sketch.

TIA

Saikat:

Take a look at this one. Is this something like what you are trying to do?

If so I'll be glad to share the details of "how."

I didn't do any clean up. I just ran DigiDaan's B&W conversion on it.

Same image with Apply Image used one time after the B&W conversion. Used multiply blend mode with 100% opacity.
