A feeble attempt

here is a picture of my dad aged 17, i did this yonks ago just messing with the clone stamp, never dreamed till i found this site that the difference to be made with layers was possible, i work long and hard designing websites but my passion is old black and white pictures, i find it relaxing and im so looking forward to learning more about it,

not feeble. you did an especially good job on the highlights. Try using the clone tool at a lower strength and it will come out smoother-looking.
