Oblong Brushes

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this but it was the closest i could find.
Anyway, my problem is that my brushes have turned to a oblong shape in photoshop instead of round. Does anyone know where i go to correct this problem.

What version of PhotoShop are you using?
In some versions of PhotoShop (i.e. PhotoShop 5), double clicking on a brush allows you to change the roundness. When you make adjustments by double clicking the brush, it changes that brush in your brushes palette as well. If you want to make a new brush without changing an existing brush, choose New Brush from the palette flyout menu.

Have your tried just resetting your brushes?

I use PhotoShop CS, so I'm not sure how accurate this will be for other versions:

On the brush pallet, click the right arrow to access the options, then click Reset Brushes. Note this will restore the orignial brushes and delete any brushes you have changed, created or added.
