Currently, I am establishing a billing system for Color Correction, Retouching and Compositing at the advertising agency I work at. I have a presentation on Wednesday the 25th and I cannot seem to unlock any of the studio's pricing structures...well guarded. I was wondering if any of you could suggest some. For reference, my clientelle includes large hotels/casinos/resorts. Thanks!

My 2¢ from an unprofessional perspective.

I'm not in the business, but it occurred to me as I read your post that a possible source (besides whatever replies you get here) of info would be to call around to other agencies (with a disguised voice, of course ) and get ballpark quotes from them. Is that feasible?

Thank you for your reply! I have actually tried this. I've found that everywhere I call tries to consult with me. They want to sit down and discuss what is involved and then bill me according to:

Photo Imaging*
Image Creation, Manipulation, Compositing, Color Correction and Retouching

Production Supervision *
Researching Projects, Stock Photo Searches, Photography Supervision and Prop Hunting

Photography *
Outsourced, Supply Stock Image or Shoot Digitally
*Billing is Variable Based on Specific Needs of Job

Myself, I fully understand where they are coming from, as the variables involved do matter. However, the partners that I am presenting to want hard numbers, return on investment and profit. Who can blame them?

Well, perhaps you could pose (over the phone) as a high school or college student doing research for a paper "due" Wed. and you need "ballpark figures" based on hypothetical work order descriptions & you don't have time for an in-person visit.
