Red face Watercolor

Hi everyone!

I'm still learning my way around Paint Shop Pro 8.1

On it is a demo version of Jasc Virtual Painter's watercolor effect. I absolutely fell in love with the effect that it had on one photo in particular.

The thing is, I don't want to purchase a program that I'm only going to use once or twice.

None of PSP 8's default effects give me the same result.
(painting-like but bright and defined)

Besides Edge preserving smooth, does anyone know of other methods that I can use to receive the desired effect?

Thanking you in advance,
-Denni

You can get something in the right area by boosting saturation with Hue/Saturation (say around +40) and using Smart Blur. It won't do the brushstroking thing though.

Leah, you were right. I tried it and I didn't get the brush stroke effect, but I luved the brightness.

I fooled around with edge perseving smooth again, and may try some other effects when i get the chance.
