More information on cllipped channels

ByRo's tutorial on channel clipping is great and very well written. It is easy to follow and do. There is another tutorial at the location listed below. I'd like to try it as well; but I have a question. Just exactly how does one find the plugin that is mentioned in the tutorial?

Many thanks,

Janet

Hi Janet,

Is this the plug-in you are referring to?

"Adobe Photoshop CS does not natively support conversions to the HSB space in the same way it supports L*a*b and CMYK conversions. There is a plug-in tucked away on the Goodies directory of your Photoshop CS disk that converts images between RGB, HSB, and HSL color spaces. To use it, you need to copy the plug-in to the Adobe Photoshop
Only folder within the Plug-Ins folder on your Photoshop CS installation. This will add the HSB/HSL filter under the “Other” filter menu item."

If it is here is where to find it:

For Photoshop 7 and CS users the HSB Filter/Plug-In can be installed from the Goodies\Photoshop CS\Optional Plug-Ins\Photoshop Only\HSL & HSB Filter found on the Installation disk.

Janet, if you don't have PS7 or CS, you can download this free plug-in which converts from RBG to HSB and back:

Good luck, and let us know how it works!

Thanks so much to both of you. I knew the answer would be a 'duh' one when it came. I was (I'm blushing to say) looking under Adobe in the program files and couldn't find it.

Thanks again.

Janet
