Good Morning everyone.
Its 2am here on the east cost and i have 100 pictures dating back from 1950s from my family which i took the little task to restore.(oh well).
I have got most of the pics alright except 2 of them.I shall post the first one on here and see where it goes.
Here;s what ihave on the system,

neat image
kodak sho,roc,gem,gem airbrush.

About the picture,Its my dad and his mother and grandmother in the early 50s.
His bday is coming up and im hoping to give it as a good bday gift.

The primary difficulty I can see is that the little boy's face is severely damage, particularly the eyes. They're tough to restore realistically. Aside from that, it looks to be a pretty straightforward restoration. Clone, heal, patch, repeat

A small boy picture of someone in your family that i could possible add to this picture? (just the face would give me a clue on how this little boy in this picture would look like).

Ok right now all i can do is add the picture i shall be back later to tell you what i did.

Well i looked through all my old pictures,and since that being my dad,thats the only pic of him.But if you do want i can send u the original file which is scanned at 300dpi and maybe u can get a better look.not sure.let me know.Appreciate your help.

my machine is down while reorganizing the house but here is my assessment, maybe it will help....do forgive my lame descriptions, I am still transferring traditional skills into the digital world.

The little boy seems to be very similar in features to the lady who is seated,
I would try playing around with "stealing" one of her eyes and playing with the free transform thingy. Same thing with his ear, I would use the existing one to re-create the other.

There is enough of the jawline intact to be able to re-create the missing area,
I think there is a tutorial on "painting" in the tutorials section.
Same goes for the eyebrows, I can just make out enough of them to be able to determine what they would look like. (but then again I draw too).
Maybe getting together with a friend or family member who is an artist may help as well.

Looks like much of the rest can be done with the clone tool.

I know it's not much help but hopeful it helps a little bit

I did some really crude outlining in (don't kill me) paint on my limited comp at work just to illustrate what I was talking about....
I freehanded where I thought the features would place based on the shape of the face.
