Proplem in Scanning by 4870 scanner

i have photo prefection 4870 scanner
i tried to scan slides but i didn't work with me...
i even tired 48-bit color... and tired different slides!!!!!!!!!!!!

however it scan documents and negative so easly?
i encloused the results it gives me when am scanning slides?
can anyone help me in that

So you can scan negative film just fine?

Sorry if it seems rude to suggest these, but I've been caught out on this at times - Is the transparency adaptor cover removed?, Is the cable at the back securely plugged into the lid?

Your results look like one of these 2 problems.

Also, for slides you want around 4000dpi (or 500% at 300dpi), and Digital ICE is a must for colour. Neither of these will fix your problem though - they are for once you've got it fixed.

I realize this is an older thread, but was this ever resolved?

I use an Epson 4870 and had a problem with scanning slides. I found that the plastic slide holder (template) must be in the proper position with the "tab" at the left front of the table. If you flip it, it will not work, although I don't recall seeing green confetti as a result.
