I calibrate my monitor using the colorvision colour plus profiler, when windows boots up I get the message saying the profile was loaded into the graphics card.
If I then click the nvidia icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and
select colour correction, the profile in use says standard mode. does this mean that the nvidia software is overwriting the profile that mt calibrator created.The
reason I am questioning this is because I have just had a print back from a on line shop and the image is nothing like what I have on my monitor. Am I double
profiling?.

This is not my best subject but I do own a Colorvision colour plus

I think we need a little more info.

What software are you using?
Do you see the calibration change as the profile is loaded into the graphics card?
Can you see all the 10 steps in the Retouch Logo above?
If you are Using Photoshop then what colour space are you using?
Are you using Adobe gamma checker?
Where are you having the prints made?
Are you pictures lighter or darker or a different colour?

It's very possible you're double-profileing, with both the calibrator software and the card utility loading profiles. When I first installed my ATI and all it's software that happened to me. The only solution I could come up with was to uninstall everything but the base driver, which is how I run now.

the image they printed for me was a lot lighter and a lot of the colur had gone.

If I need to just unistall everything for the g/gard except the base driver then can somebody exlain how to do this. Cheers

When my profile loads I see the screen change.
When you run the calibration software, at the last step there is an option to see before and after calibration. Can you see any changes at this point?

I am not familiar with Nvidia but I think its similar to ATI.
Right click the desktop and click properties
Click the settings tab and then click Advanced
Now in there I have a Colour Management Tab
This shows that I have the ColorPlus profile loaded Only.

Yes the profile does say colorplus, and when I re-profile my monitor (every 2 weeks I can see a difference from the old calibration screen and the new calibration.Because I also profile my paper ink combinations, and get pretty much out of my printer what I see on screen. Maybe Photobox just aren't that good a company to use.

Hi Owen

I can’t see that you are doing anything wrong with the Color Plus

If you click on the arrow at the bottom of the workspace you can click ‘Document Profile’ so that the profile shows.

As you can see from the attachment this picture has no profile even though I have Srgb in my workspace.

I would use ‘Convert to Profile’ before printing.

Thanks everyone you have been a lot of help, I have also set up a soft proof based around the type of printers that Photobox use (and there papers) hopefully this will help. I am just waiting on Photobox sending me ther calibration chart to see how different my screen looks, if there isn't much difference then they will re-print me the image(I will probably send them a print I have done as a guide)
