| Re: Images for TV. Generally, you want the luminance to be in the range of 16 to 232 for NTSC video. Also, the color gamut for NTSC is different. Avoid oversaturated colors as they will flicker and bleed.
There is a standard NTSC (also a PAL) profile included with Photoshop that you can use to convert your image and/or check for out of gamut.
There is also an NTSC filter included in Photoshop (found under the Filters > Video menu) that will clip the values into the appropriate range. |
