| | | Bridge CS3 - Hello,
I switched to CS3 few days ago however, while adjusting my raw images, I noticed an inconsistency in my images.
After adjusting one image and moving on to another, I noticed that if I would go back to the previous image, and waited for the image to load-in, the brightness would change.
The actually value of brightness would remain the same but the image would *appear* brighter.
I went through my color setting and everything seems alright, however this problem with the preview inconsistency remains.
Once the image is opened, the brightness does not match with the brightness that is seen in Bridge.
Does anyone have the same problem? Any possible causes and/or solutions?
Thanks!

I'm a bit confused... there are three "modules" to CS3 and they have different purposes and capabilities. Photoshop: The main editing program Camera Raw: Opens all CRW files and lets you adjust color, white balance, contrast, sharpening and other "dark room" tools. Bridge: A cataloging and viewing database that lets you sort, rate, label and track folders and files of Tiff, CRW, JPEG, EPS, PDF, PSD, video and other presentation files. There are a few things, such as create contact sheets or web galleries, but for the most part there is NO pixel editing capability inside Bridge. |

Thank you for your reply.
Sorry for the confusion. What I was referring to was Camera Raw.
If I open 20 images at once and work on one image and then move on to the next - when I go back to check if everything looks good - once the image loads, the brightness is bumped up (you can actually see it change) although the actual value doesn't change.
I have no idea why this is happening.
Thanks again,

| | | Re: Bridge CS3 - Do you have your meta data window open in bridge? It will display the IPTC core data of the photo as shot. Below that you will see the Camera Raw settings that you have applied and uses this information to adjust the image's representation on the screen. If you are only viewing the IPTC meta information, you will see any CRW adjustments update on the screen, but the IPTC data does not reflect those changes since that information is in the CR portion of the meta data pane. |
