creating a signature layer

I want to put my signature on my work via a layer that would have my name, so people will see it whenever I print or have one printed. This is just an otherwise clear picture that would have my name in a bottom corner. I would lay it over the picture while still in the process of re-working as a tiff or bmp, and then flatten the file for printing and storage. How might I do this, in Paint Shop Pro 7? Would appreciate spelled out steps, please. Thanks
