Old black and white negatives

Is there anyone still printing old black and white negatives from a kodak brownie camera and that ilk. So the size of the negs is larger.
I don't have a lot of money to spend on this project so am trying to find an economical way to print these.
Does anyone have success scanning negatives???

Re: Old black and white negatives

I've had good success scanning old negatives with my Epson 4990. You tell the scanning software you're doing negatives, and the result is a positive image.

Re: Old black and white negatives

I am also using an Epson 4990 & am trying to scan in large size old negatives (2.25 x 2 3/8) using the 'medium format carrier' but the resulting image comes out either cut off or in two pieces. Is it me or the scanner, which I haven't used much.
Thanks
