Which is good. Its either the display profile or display itself. Here is why we have high bit panels like those from NEC SpectraView or Eizo. If you see banding, its in the document.

Update, I now have Colormunki and it is working perfect but I ended up having to use V2 icc to make it work properly on my Mac (Mac pro desktop w/Snow leopard).

V4ICC Profiles = Problems! Stick with V2.

Sadly the issue might be not that simple...

There are colormanagement problems also with version 2 printer profiles and there are some version 4 printer profiles that work well in Snow Leopard...
The search is going on - all sides are contacted - no final solution yet...

So keep testing, if your profiles work proper...

Actually in terms of not using V4 profiles, it is that simple. They bring nothing to the party (most are V2 profiles in structure, V4 in name and bugs only). This isn’t to say V2 profiles are prefect. When given the option today, simply do not build V4 profiles.
