Printing: From a raw to a poster question

Hi people! It's been a while since my last visit.

I have a doubt (issue) and if you can't help me with this, nobody can.

I have a raw file (24.65cm x 36.98cm @ 300 dpi/ 2912x4368 px) and my client needs to print it in a 180 cm large poster. despite of the proportions (I will crop it) I would like to know if it is something that can be done having a nice result.

I asked them to contact the printer so they can give me the tech specs, but I would love to know what do you think about this before I get that info.

I know there's software that allows to scale the images without losing quality (genuine fractals I think). Can it help me?

Upsize in the raw converter, then handle as Schewe suggests.

Before you start to upsize or purchase new software contact the printer. Many times the image you have is not only sufficient but needs only minor edits. Large prints and posters printers have software built in for this.
