Using Capture One just for Colour Processing

I'm looking for advice on using Capture One, as a retoucher, simply for it's superior colour handling. I've always used ACR, and it's familiar to me, so I feel very confused when I look at the Capture One interface. I've got the Capture One Pro trial version up.
My basic questions are:-
1/ Is it worth purchasing C1 or C1 Express just for it's colour handling advantages?
2/ Are there compatibility/workflow issues in taking files from C1 directly into photoshop?
3/ Where can I get tutorial type material to help me learn what I need to know, as a retoucher, about the colour processing aspects of C1, without having to trawl through lots of info on all the other splendid capabilities of Capture One which I don't need?

I'm sure, if the way C1 deals with colour is significantly superior to ACR and other raw processors, there must be a lot of people who use it for just that. So I'm hoping somebody can point me in the direction of some good advice.

Re: Using Capture One just for Colour Processing

You can find all the tutorials for Capture One on their website. Not really the best tuts but they are pretty much the only ones that exist for capture one.

Only get capture one pro if you are a photographer and you need to shoot tethered into capture one otherwise express should be fine.

You have to process the images into Tiff 16 (or 8 depending on how you like to work) and then open them in Photoshop so there is no problem there.

My advice is to only adjust the white balance and exposure inside capture one or any other raw processor for that matter because you have way more control in photoshop.
Working on colors should be the last part of your workflow when retouching (before sharpening...) so working on colors as the very first thing in capture one will most likely double your work in the long run. Just my opinion.

Hope that helps
