Copying Slides & Such

By Ed Ladendorf (ed) on Monday, June 04, 2001 - 02:51 pm:

I had quite a few old slides that I wanted to copy, but I didn't have a film scanner. I rigged up my own slide copier, using an old, beat up enlarging lens. The results weren't really too bad, especially if they were just used for family viewing. The results of two copied slides, and the makeshift copy system can be found at: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...&a=3768535&f=0
Do not pay attention to the use of a re-photography screen. This was not the case.

Now, I'm wondering if, with a film scanner, it would be easy enough to copy frames from 8mm movie film. We have a lot of memories on some old film. Comments??
