Printing 16 bit image with PS

I am trying to print a large 16 bit color picture (360 M) with Photoshop - but it prints only the top half. I reduced it to 48M, in JPEG, but the same thing happened. What am I doing wrong?

This may be a dumb question but, are you doing a "print with preview?
You also didn't mention the dimensions.

Printers can't accept 16bit images, so it's translating on the fly and choking. Try making an 8bit printing version. You'll usually want a specialized flattened printing version of an image, anyway, for sharpening, etc.

And stay away from JPG.
