| Cleaning photos before scanning Is there a safe way to do this or should I not even bother. I just worked on photos that had tape on them. Since it was a friends, I did use an exacto knife to remove the tape. Other then a little scratch it worked well. |

| I would say that before you try removing tape etc. you should scan your pictures. This is insurance against possible damage you may do. If successful in your clean up you can then scan them again. I am no expert in these matters, but there are many on this site, and they will advise you as to the best way to clean up your photos. |
