| Printer Help Just used my new Monaco Optix to calibrate my monitor. Now, how do I tune up/calibrate my Canon S9000 ink jet printer for optimum results? I use OEM inks and Ilford Smooth Pearl for larger prints and some Canon Photo Paper Plus for smaller prints. Running P/S CS on a PC. Thanks, Allan |

| printer profiles Ideally you would get a custom profile made for each paper & ink combination you use, then select those as part of your colour managed workflow. You may get good results from Canon's canned profiles with their papers, but I don't know if there are generic profiles for Ilford/Canon. Whatever, a custom profile is pretty much certain to improve your results. A monitor profile only helps CM software to provide the optimum display on your monitor. |
