Lightbulb Who is the owner of the picture?

Hello I want to do my portfolio about retouch, but to get the pictures from the photographers somo times is difficult, so I'm thinking in to put me in contact with the models.
But if the model give me her picture for to do a retouch,
Do you think that the photographer can to take legal actions against of me?

Or is normal that a model hire a retoucher for to do the retouch, and it dosen't matter the photographer ?

What do you think?

is a homework, do it, please.

Re: Who is the owner of the picture?

Photographer owns all rights to the photograph, unless he sells those rights to the model. Models will sometimes hire retouchers to do work on their images, which is basically unethical...If I am enlisted by a model to do work, i always check with the photographer......most of the time they are fine with it, as they don't do retouching anyway...sometimes they are a little ticked off, because they do retouching...model is just looking for a cheaper retoucher.

To answer your question, unless the model owns the rights to the picture, yes, the photog can take legal action against you.
