Small little issue

Ok so here's my problem:
Ad agency hires me to retouch "photographer's photo", After getting consent from such photographer work is completed and handed to agency. Do I hold any privileges over the retouched images? I know i cant copyright it cuz it not my work, but I would hate to see the photographer profiting from MY retouch. Ad agency pays me. So is there a way to put on the contract that the resulting image is for the exclusive usage of the ad agency and the photographer doesnt have permission to use the retouched image? Has any1 encountered problems with that? I talked to a few ppl and some said the ad agency might have issues signing such contract to avoid issues with photographer

why should you, it's not your image.

you got paid for your work so it's a fair deal. of course the photographer will profit from your work in the same way that you profited from his/hers.

I agree with Sinisa. You were hired by the ad agency to do a job, you did your job, got paid, end of story. You are just a cog in the wheel. Break off a cog and the mill keeps grinding. You'll drive yourself nuts if you are going to be so possessive about "YOUR" work. It's called PRIDE. Just keep on doing good work and the ad agency will keep giving it to you. Get snotty about "ownerships" and stuff and they'll go somewhere else.
