Question got a client who wants me to sign a NDA

I got a client im designing a website for that wants me to sign a NDA. Non disclosure document. The only thing I worry about is that they may try to use this later, if i design another site similar to theres. They are a software company. I have never seen one of these in my lifetime. Could this NDA screw me over later on, designing other sites similar to the company that wants me to sign it. Should i have them sign anything as a counter act? Any advice would be helpful.

Re: got a client who wants me to sign a NDA

NDA's can be simple 1 page documents in which a client wishes to protect proprietary information that you may have access to while you are doing work for that client. However, in some NDAs the client claims full ownership to what you have created including style and format. You realy need to read the document paragraph by paragraph, sentence by sentence to understand the intent and the legal implications. If any of it is not crystal clear, you should have it reviewed by a lawyer.
