| Which Legal Actions can be taken? Do you guys have any idea of the legal actions to be taken against the offenders of plagiarized content? Healthy comments will be appreciated, thanks! |

| Re: Which Legal Actions can be taken? Depends a many things: - Nature of infringement (commercial or non commercial) - Venue / Media - Complete copy or derivative works - Country of copyright holder vs country of infringer - other factors Suggest you supply a lot more detail Regards, Murray |

| Re: Which Legal Actions can be taken? The best, fastest, least expensive, immediate course of action is a cease and desist letter. You can use an attorney (to make it scarier sounding for them), but it's not legally necessary. If they know they are in the wrong using copyrighted materials that do not belong to them (with no attribution otherwise), and got caught, it should be more than enough to compel them to remove the item(s). |
