| | | Lucisart Problems Hello, everytime I try to do the sculpture effect on my image, I tick the box, and it appears totally different to the preview, pixelated and messy like this: http://img321.imageshack.us/img321/1830/problemro1.jpg

If you purchased LucisArt, then definitely do as Steve suggested - contact Barbara. She's great to work with. |

| | Just a word of warning...if you try to use the software without a valid serial number, it is designed to screw up, and even if you now buy the serial number it will take some doing to get the bad one off your hard drive.

| | | Hi,
Even when buying the original you will need an extra ammount for their clean up tool.
When you can't afford the software don't use it, it sounds very very harsch but in reality you also can't drive a Mercedes from someone else without paying.
Greetings,
Frank |

| | | In my experience this problem usually occurs, when you're using a low-resolution image. This filter works best on High-Resolution images. I also find that if you add just the slightest Gaussian Blur, just to soften the image a little bit, you get much better results with this filter. Also, don't try to achieve the effect you want with one try, apply the filter in small steps. |

| | Re: Lucisart Problems I don't know that the serial number crack would be involved in creating this effect. it looks to me like he just needs to back off on the settings. I've seen artifacts of this type (though not to that extreme degree) in my own Lucis Art work. |

| | | Re: Lucisart Problems The only time that I have seen this problem is with some illegal (cracked) copies of LucisArt. The image in the preview window looks fine but when you process the image it comes out all corrupted. If you have installed one of these illegal copies of LucisArt you won't be able to install a valid copy of LucisArt either. The illegal copy of LucisArt corrupts some files in the computer. I found this out the hard way several years ago with a customer who lied and said that he had not installed an illegal copy but after my software engineer worked with him it was clear that he had. That is how I found out about this problem. I also now know how to fix this problem and I charge $100 to fix it. One customer did not wish to pay this and he reformatted his computer.
It is disheartening to me to hear that people are sharing valid LucisArt serial numbers.

| | | Re: Lucisart Problems Thanks for the clarification, Barbara. So I guess the wrong serials do corrupt the image! |
