| | making silent movie backgrounds aka intertitles hi, im kind of new here and i dont know or you guys can help me
but im working on a little project and i need those pieces of tekst they use in silent movies, including the nice border and all but i cant make those or find a good picture including them, does anybody here knows how to do that?

ya know, there was a thread about this recently, but i'll be darned if i know where to find it now. try a search on 'intertitles' in the various forums. i know someone mentioned that name so you shld be able to find it with that.

| | Hi, Martijn, I could not find many examples on the internet of what you want, so I just sort of made one up. As said before, there are sites online where you can download border brushes that could probably give a good result. But I just made one here in Photoshop using the Marquis select tool and the stroke command. If you would like detailed instructions, just ask. I downloaded the free Nickelodian font from here which seems to look authentic enough: http://www.jmurphyjr.com/freefonts.html
