advanced Retouching books?

I know this has probably been posted before but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for retouching books? Im an advanced photoshop user in mainly graphic design but i am moving more towards skin/face/model retouching and photo restoration and need some book ideas for this..
thanks!

Re: advanced Retouching books?

Welcome to RetouchPro... meant to reply to this yesterday, but got distracted.

Highly recommended for retouching/restoration:
* Photoshop Restoration and Retouching - Katrin Eismann. Considered by many (including me) as the best book of its kind. See Amazon.com for stellar reviews. I believe last edition may have been based on PS CS2, but methods / techniques still very relevant.

Another good one that focuses on restoration:
* Digital Restoration from Start to Finish (2nd edition). Very good instruction for restoration work. Some content overlap with Eismann book, but still a good resource for a different perspective.

Hope this helps.

Re: advanced Retouching books?

Having read and seen several books and DVD's on retouching, I personally prefer the dvd's.....while playing on my second screen I simultaniously work on a file on my main screen. Nathalia Taffarel has a great video on skinretouching, I can also recommend Gry Garness.
Katrin's books offer some great eyeopeners( unfortunately I don't have her DVD's.
