Guide to Mount Drum Scan

I hope this is the correct place for this topic, I recently purchased a Scanmate 5000 Drum Scanner. I have used some high end flatbed scanners over the years and scanned film using mounting oil for the best results.

Now I am using a drum I'm not sure on the process, does anybody have a pdf guide to the process step-by-step. I have all the kit from spare drums to a mounting station but not sure where to begin.

Any guidance in the right direction would be much appreciated.

The closest I found was this:

"If the print is flexible, you can simply mount it by taping all sides (you don't need a cover sheet). If it can't be wrapped around the drum, you're screwed. Personally, using a Scanmate to scan reflective prints is super over kill and time consuming.

Not that this post is particularly relevant for you, but Andrew sounds like a big fan of Scanmates, and he's a nice guy, so he probably wouldn't mind an email about them.
