I would like to put a shadow behind the flower to give it a 3d effect but I can't for the life of me work out a way to do it. Could someone please help me put a shadow behind the flower?

Thanks.

The first 2 pics are the originals from which I got the third picture.
Thanks for the input. Hate to admit this but I cannot figure out how you used the water image with the flower image. Other than it's palette. Are you willing to tell us your secret?

Re: One of my first attempts with Impressionist

Sometimes I really blow myself away with the things I do. This picture is a combination of photoshop filters and an Impressionist filter.

The rocks were done with the Coloured pencil filter in photoshop and a hide all layer mask painted with white @ 50% opacity.

The water was done with a slightly modified heavy embossed impressionist filter,

Brush Size: 64%
Coverage: 100%
Pressure: 140

I also ran the liqify filter on the water to give it a bit of oomph

The sky was put on a layer by itself and had the Sumi-e filter put over the top.
