Hello - First post on this forum

Hello All,

I new here, joined yesterday. I've been learning about photo-art for around 4 months and wanted to join a forum where I could show my work and learn from others.

I use mainly PSPXI, Photoshop CS3, Painter X and ArtRage, but I don't know any of these programs in depth, I've only just skimmed the surface with all of them.

I'm sending in my first image painted in ArtRage. Hope you like it.

Welcome to RetouchPRO Smada! You're off to a marvelous start. Great painting! Are you by any chance in Florida? The scene looks almost like my back yard. LOL

Here's my PST version

Re: Hello - First post on this forum

Thank you so much Swampy, I'm glad you liked my effort with ArtRage.

I like your version very much, and you did it so quickly! Not sure what PST means though.

No, I don't live in Florida, I live in the UK about 30 miles north west of London.

Re: Hello - First post on this forum

Smada, thank you.

As Palms said, PST is the Photoshop Pattern Stamp Tool (located "under" the clone tool). I've got a couple video tutorials on painting with it on my web site. Just click the link to the PS tutorials in my signature.

The PST and the Art History Brush- "AHB" (Palm's forte) are the two main tools Photoshop users paint with.

Re: Hello - First post on this forum

Hello Palms and thank you very much for the compliment on my ArtRage work.
I love what you have done with the image, it's so clear!

I like ArtRage because it's basic and uncomplicated and I'm not baffled by a zillion options

Thanks too for telling me what PST means. I've played with the AHB a tiny bit, and I've looked at your tutorial which is very good!

Thanks Swampy, now I know where to find the PST. Didn't notice it before!
I will be sure to check out your tutorials.

Thanks again!
Smada
